PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a resin composition containing (2-trifluoromethyl) acrylate compound capable of being rapidly cured by the irradiation with active energy beam such as ultraviolet rays or the like to form cured matter excellent in mechanical strengths, having flexibility and a low refractive index and excellent in transparency and antistaining properties. SOLUTION: 2-Trifluoromethylacrylic acid and a fluorine-containing diol compound are subjected to esterification reaction to synthesize a (2- trifluoromethyl) acrylate compound which is, in turn, mixed with a fluorine- containing urethane (meth)acrylate compound and a photopolymerization initiator to produce a low refractive index resin composition.
