PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yarn guide for effectively preventing a filament breakage, fluffing or the like, and to provide a method for producing a high-quality fiber in high operability. SOLUTION: This yarn guide has a surface roughness Ra of 0.5-2 and made from a polyethylene >=3,000,000 in molecular weight. The other objective method for producing a fiber involves using the above yarn guide.
