A mounting for a fluorescent tube 4 is made by deformation from a single component so that it has a concave section along the major part of its length between edges 5, to act as a reflector, and has ends 2 with holes in which the ends of the tube are lodged to retain the tube in the mounting. The ends 6 and the sides of the mounting are bevelled to produce externally inclined faces and the top edges are curved inwards to form flanges for fixing the mounting to walls or ceilings &c. |
