PURPOSE: An advertising method using an information retrieval system is provided to publicize advertising contents such as an advertising word or paragraph related to a query language inputted in real time when a user connects to a site which supplies a search service through the Internet and inputs the query language with respect to data or contents to be searched. CONSTITUTION: A search requesting client connects to a search service-supplying server and inputs a query language for a searching process(S300). The client requests advertising contents related to the inputted query language and a recommended search word to a search helper server(S400). Searching result data of the requested advertising contents and the recommended search word are received and displayed(S500). In the case that an input of the query language is completed and a search with respect to the query language is executed, the inputted query language is transmitted to the search service supplying server(S700). The search service supplying server receives/displays the search result(S800).
