PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge image developing toner ensuring high image density, high image quality and a small toner consumption even in a compact high-speed image forming apparatus and to provide an image forming method using the toner. SOLUTION: The electrostatic charge image developing toner used in an image forming method in which an electrostatic charge image formed on a photoreceptor containing oxy-titanium phthalocyanine having the maximum diffraction peak at 27.3 deg. Bragg angle (2θ±0.2 deg.) in its X-ray diffraction spectrum with CuKαrays is developed with toner, contains a calix arene compound of formula (1).
