PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor not image defects such as black spots and having good potential stability even in repetitive use and to provide an image forming method using the electrophotographic photoreceptor, an image forming device and a process cartridge. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor having a photosensitive payer on an electrically conductive substrate by way of a middle layer, the middle layer contains a binder resin and n-type semiconductive fine particles subjected to a plurality of surface treatments including the final surface treatment with a reactive organosilicon compound and the surface layer of the photosensitive layer contains a resin having a polycarbonate component, a siloxane condensate component and an electric charge transporting structure component.
