PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lever installing structure capable of accurately and easily fixing a lever in a normal position to an end surface of a shaft, and a recorder using this structure. SOLUTION: This lever installing structure fixes the lever 65 to the end surface 62A of the shaft 62 via a fixture 64. A reference part 62C is formed on the end surface 62A of the shaft 62. A part 66D of the lever 62 is pressed to the reference part 62C by a force for pressing the lever 65 to the end surface of the shaft 62, and is deformed so that the lever 65 is regulated in the rotational direction to the shaft 62.
