PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle mechanism of a self-mobile catering wagon 1 for use in a hospital, etc., whereby the wagon can be maneuvered with a handle 7 easily and safely. SOLUTION: The catering wagon 1 is equipped with driving wheels 3 and idling wheels 2, and at the end 1" of its running direction, the handle 7 is installed supported in the neutral position by a spring 14 in such a way as capable of moving in the X-direction as running direction or in the Y-direction as reverse direction against the force of the spring 14, and with this movement, a regular-reverse drive switch S operates a regular-reverse drive device G of the driving wheels 3 either regularly or reversely.
