PURPOSE: A weight plate of sports equipment with a coating layer emitting far infrared rays is provided to prevent the generation of impact, friction and noise as well as increase user's health by virtue of the emission of far infrared rays. CONSTITUTION: In the weight plate installed to sports equipment such as a dumbbell, a barbell and the like having a hollow synthetic resin casing that the inner space thereof is filled with cement mortar, the hollow synthetic resin casing is formed by molding a mixture consisting of 90 percent synthetic resin, 4 percent illite, 1 percent ceramic powder, 0.2 percent dye, 0.2 percent perfume and 5.6 percent chrolite.
