PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an abnormal increase in pressure accumulating force even if the temperature of an accumulator type boosting mechanism rises at engine stopping time in a high pressure fuel supply device of an internal combustion engine having the accumulator type boosting mechanism. SOLUTION: This high pressure fuel supply device is provided with the accumulator type boosting mechanism 10 for boosting a high pressure part of the high pressure fuel supply device at engine starting time, and a restraining means 9 for restraining an increase at engine stopping time of the pressure accumulating force in the accumulator type boosting mechanism at engine stopping time.
