PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, as an intermediate paper, a low-cost transparent paper not only excellent in transparency but also imparted with inkjet printability. SOLUTION: The clarifying agent composition for transparent paper, having inkjet printability is obtained by including a copolymer comprising (a) a (meth) acrylic monomer having a tertiary amine structure and/or a quaternary ammonium structure with at least one kind of (b) another polymerizable vinyl monomer component; wherein the copolymer has 30/70-70/30 mass weight ratio (a)/(b) and 1,000-8,000 weight average molecular weight. And the other objective transparent paper is obtained by coating the composition on the base paper.
