PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an industrial image receiving sheet having (a) remarkably excellent productivity as compared with a conventional method of forming an image receiving layer on a base by coating a solution or a dispersion of an image receiving substance, (b) no wrinkle or no curl during working even when the base is paper, (c) no problem in view of points of safety and health, and (d) capable of obtaining the image receiving sheet having surface smoothness and printability equivalent to those obtained by a conventional method. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an industrial image receiving sheet comprises the steps of melt extruding a water soluble resin capable of being extruded in a molten state on at least one side surface of the base (1) made of paper or a film or laminating the water soluble resin films, and thereby forming the image receiving layer (2) on the surface of the base (1). |
