PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that when the indoor unit of an air conditioner is cleaned, it is necessary to disassemble the unit, to deliver the unit outdoor and to again return the unit indoor after cleaning so that time and effort therefor are required. SOLUTION: The indoor unit 19a for the air conditioner comprises a housing 21 of a liquidtight structure having an air intake port 22 for inputting indoor air and an air outlet 25 for diffusing the input air to indoor, and a heat exchanger 28 housed in the housing 21 to heat exchange with the air input from the port 22. The indoor unit 19a further comprises a plurality of cleaning liquid jet nozzles 35 installed in the housing 21 to inject cleaning liquid toward the exchanger 28, a cleaning liquid supply tube 18 connected at one end side to the nozzles 35 and led at the other end side out of the housing 21 to supply the liquid to the nozzles 35, and a cleaning liquid drain tube 39 coupled to the lower end of the housing 21 to discharge the liquid out of the housing 21. |
