PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copper alloy having excellent resistance integrating discharge attrition resistance and mechanical attrition resistance, suitable for the contact material of switches. SOLUTION: The attrition resistant copper alloy consists of an alloy containing either or both of 0.1 to 1.0 wt.% Cr and 0.1 to 0.5 wt.% Zr, and the balance copper.
