PURPOSE: A system and a method for storing/reproducing a program using a CI module are provided to control storage and reproduction of broadcasting programs only using a common interface module without the help of additional hardware or software. CONSTITUTION: A system for storing/reproducing a program using a CI module includes an AV processor for receiving an external broadcasting signal and a command signal to output video and audio signals, a common interface for connecting the command signal of the AV processor and transport stream to an external device, and a CI module for executing a corresponding process according to the command signal and transport stream inputted from the common interface. The CI module includes an input buffer(200) for buffering the transport stream data, a processor(500) for storing or reproducing the transport stream data stored in the input buffer, and an output buffer(300) for converting the transport stream data into a transport stream output form.
