PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the start-up time of the whole fuel reforming apparatus by accelerating the rising of the temperature of a carbon monoxide removing equipment. SOLUTION: In the fuel reforming apparatus provided with fuel vapor producing means 1, 2 for producing fuel vapor, a reformer 4 for producing a hydrogen enriched gags by the oxidation reaction of the fuel vapor from the fuel vapor producing means with an oxidizing agent and a carbon monoxide removing equipment 6 for decreasing carbon monoxide contained in the hydrogen enriched gas by the oxidation reaction with the oxidizing agent successively in series, a control means for starting the oxidation reaction in the carbon monoxide removing equipment 6 at first at the time of starting-up, and after that, starting the oxidation reaction in the reformer 4 is provided. |
