PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the overlapping deviation of the toner image of each color on an intermediate transfer body even in the case that fluctuation is caused in the speed of the intermediate transfer body and that of paper. SOLUTION: The toner image of each color formed on a photoreceptor respectively provided by corresponding to each of several colors is successively overlapped on the intermediate transfer body during one rotation of the intermediate transfer body, and the overlapped toner image of the several colors is transferred and fixed on a printing medium. Then, a sensor to detect the corresponding rotating position of the intermediate transfer body is respectively provided for each color so as to decide the start timing of writing a latent image for a latent image writing device to write the latent image on the photoreceptor of each color.
