<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve and display an optimum traveling route, even if a wrong or uncertain set is performed for a double line road, having structurally independent up and down lanes, where the discrimination of the up and down lanes often cannot be performed. SOLUTION: This guide device comprises a double-line determining means 5. When a road designated as a passing road is determined as double lines, both the up lane and down lane are set as candidates of the passing road, the travel route from a starting point to a designation is retrieved by use of the respective lanes as the passing road, and the traveling route more advantageous in retrieval cost is selected and outputted as a recommended route. When the road in a point set as designation is determined as double lines, the traveling route is retrieved by setting the set designation as a first candidate, setting the point on the opposite road closest thereto as a second candidate, and adding an extra value thereto, so that the first candidate is selected.</p> |
