PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which can air-condition even in a room divided into a plurality of small sections via partitions or the like without unevenness and which is extremely easily installed or transferred. SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises an air conditioning area air suction port 11 provided in an upper limit height of an area to be air conditioned in a room with a human or animal and vegetable life space as a reference, an air conditioning area air outlet 13 provided at a position directly above the floor surface in the room to diffuse cold air or warm air to the floor surface in a horizontal direction, an indoor air passage 12 which communicates with the air outlet 13 through the port 11, an indoor air supply means 15 provided in an indoor air passage, and a heat exchange means 20 provided in the air passage using Peltier elements 21A to 21H. A diffusing cold air temperature is decided with a user's desired room temperature as a reference at the time of cooling. A diffusing warm air temperature is set at a temperature difference from the room temperature to 10 deg.C or lower at the time of heating. Its diffusing speed is set to 2.0 m/s or less. The heat exhausting of the exchange means is executed for the upper area 132 of the area 131 to be air conditioned. |
