PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining method for the surface of a long object compatible with in-line, not causing an environmental problem, and not degrading mechanical properties of the long object. SOLUTION: The long object is held by a required length by required force through a particulate grinding material 10 stored in a flexible container 11. In that state, the container 11 is moved while rotating the container 11 relatively to the long object around the longitudinal center axis of the long object. Thereby, the long object is moved relatively to the grinding material 10, and the surface of the long object is ground. |
