PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder hopper capable of increasing the treatment capacity of an extruder by smoothly transporting a raw material. SOLUTION: A space 6 is formed above a cylinder inner hole 2 from the inner wall surface of the downstream side of the raw material supply port 3 communicating with the cylinder inner hole 2 toward the downstream side and an undercut 7 is formed from the leading end of the space 6 to the cylinder inner hole 2 and the L/D ratio of the opening part 9 from the inner wall surface 8 on the upstream side of the raw material supply port 3 to the leading end of the undercut 7 is set to 2.5-8.
