PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for continuously manufacturing a composite material wherein a long fiber reinforced resin foam layer having a target thickness is formed to the periphery of a core material with high accuracy by positioning the core material with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The long core material and first and second impregnated materials 8 and 9, each of which is prepared by impregnating long fiber bundles with a foamable thermoplastic resin composition, are guided to a first molding space so that the undersurface and second side surface of the core material come into contact with the inner surface of a mold and the first and second impregnated materials 8 and 9 are positioned in first and second gaps 2a and 2b, and the first and second impregnated materials are foamed and cured to obtain intermediate matters. The intermediate matters and third and fourth impregnated materials are guided so that the upper surfaces and first side surfaces of the intermediate matters come into contact with the inner surface of the molding space and the third and fourth impregnated materials are positioned in third and fourth gaps to be foamed and cured to continuously manufacture the composite material. |
