PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fill an ink bag with ink, deaerated by a simple apparatus up to a high level and being used in an ink jet printer, in a short time while reducing the cost of ink filling work. SOLUTION: Ink in a container 206 storing ink to be deaerated is circulated through two ink circulation paths 207 and 208. A deaeration unit 214, 221 is provided in the ink passage of each circulation path and ink daerated through circulation is recirculated repeatedly thus raising the level of deaeration to a specified level. An ink bag 112 is filled with ink deaerated to the specified level by changing over a three-way valve 228. |
