PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiping device for an intaglio printing machine which is capable of stably securing a high quality in a printed matter and improving the durability of a wiping roller and further reducing a load on the part of an operator. SOLUTION: A control device (30) is provided which moves a wiping roller supporting frame mechanism (7) structured of a mechanism for fixing the wiping roller (6) mounted on a wiping layer and a finish blade mechanism (14) which continues applying a preset hydraulic force horizontally to an intaglio cylinder (2) and measures a reaction resulting from the movement by means of a manometer (10) and further controls the pressing action by automatically changing the position of the wiping roller (6) to a preset value (in this case, a plurality of cleaning members follow up automatically).
