FERRULE FOR OPTICAL FIBER, AND OPTICAL COUPLER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that workability and productivity are inferior since much time is conventionally required for bonding a ferrule to the terminal part of an optical fiber. SOLUTION: Terminal parts 70a and 70b of an optical fiber 70 are coated with ultraviolet setting adhesives and inserted to inserting holes 61a and 62a of ferrules 61 and 62 formed from light transmissive materials. When the ferrules 61 and 62 are irradiated with ultraviolet rays from the outside, the optical fiber 70 and the ferrules 61 and 62 can be adhered and fixed in a short time rather than conventional. Thus, workability and productivity can be improved.
