PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical coupler, with which stress caused by compression easy to be concentrated to the branch part of an internal fiber can be relaxed, the full length of the internal fiber can be shortened and an entire device can be miniaturized. SOLUTION: When mounting a plug 81 on a first connector 31 from an X1 side and when mounting a plug 82 on a second connector 41 from an X2 side, the first connector 31 and the second connector 41 are moved in the X direction and stress to be applied to an internal fiber 70 is relaxed. Therefore, since the stress to be applied to the internal fiber 70 can be relaxed without elongating the full length of the optical fiber 70, an entire optical coupler 21 can be miniaturized.
