SUNLIGHT DOSAGE INDICATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer sunlight dosage indicator that can be used for indicating the amount of exposure to sunlight. SOLUTION: This multilayer sunlight dosage indicator comprises (a) an indicator layer containing sunlight-sensitive ink which undergoes a color change when the ink is exposed to a known amount of sunlight and (b) an overlayer comprising an amount of at least one UV absorber. A method of indicating the amount of exposure to sunlight uses an indicator layer of sunlight-sensitive ink which undergoes a color change when the ink is exposed to a known amount of sunlight and an overlayer comprising an amount of at least one UV absorber. It is possible to adjust the sensitivity of the indicator by controlling UV absorbing materials in the overlayer.
