PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch release bearing device while maintaining a low cost excellent in abrasion resistance. SOLUTION: An anvil member 40 is formed of an alloy material (PCR5, for example) containing 0.7 to 0.9 wt.% of carbon, 0.3 to 0.9 wt.% of manganese, 0.3 to 1.0 wt.% of chromium, and 0.01 to 0.15 wt.% of silicon, and it can be manufactured with a relatively low cost but excellent in abrasion resistance.
