PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a method for producing a plant essence for decomposing hydrogen peroxide remaining in the permanent wave-treated hair and the dyed hair, and further to achieve a method for utilizing the plant essence. SOLUTION: This method for producing the plant essence is characterized by the steps for processing plants in a raw state, gathered in various shapes such as leaves, seeds, stems and roots according to the gathered sites such as a mountain, a field and a sea, adding much amount of saccharides such as sugar thereto, gradually fermenting and degrading the obtained mixture while intermittently stirring the mixture to feed oxygen and to decompose a carbohydrate, a fat and a protein which become the source of plant allergy and eruption in the fermentation and degradation step.
