PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive optical film provided with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer for sticking an optical film to a glass substrate of a liquid crystal panel and being excellent in durability under conditions including heating, humidification, etc. SOLUTION: The pressure-sensitive adhesive optical film is one which is composed of an optical film and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer for sticking the optical film to the glass substrate of a liquid crystal panel on either surface of the optical film and in which the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is formed from a carboxy-containing acrylic polymer crosslinked with a polyfunctional metal chelate compound and has a saturated water absorptivity of 0.35-2.5 wt.%.
