PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for thermoplastic resin foam production, with which in a method for high expansion foam production using carbon dioxide as a blowing agent, a specific thermoplastic resin having difficulty in high expansion can be readily foamed in high expansion at a low cost. SOLUTION: This method for thermoplastic resin foam production is characterized in that in a method for producing a thermoplastic resin foam by extrusion expansion molding of a thermoplastic resin, a blowing agent comprising 0.1-50 pts.wt. of an inert gas in a supercritical state and 0.01-10 pts.wt. of a low molecular weight organic substance based on 100 pts.wt. of the thermoplastic resin is added to the thermoplastic resin to expand the thermoplastic resin. |
