PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power-assisted blind which enables even a powerless user to conduct operations for ascent/descent of a relatively heavy Venetian blind, such as a wooden blind and a large blind for a high window, with agility by manual pulling. SOLUTION: In a method adopted by this blind (1), an operating cord (8), which is looped over an operating pulley (7), is pulled to rotate the operating pulley (7), rotation of the operating pulley (7) is transferred to an elevating mechanism (3) via a reduction gear (5), and the elevating mechanism (3) is rotated to make the blind (1) ascend/descend. A drive motor (6) is directly connected to an output shaft of the reduction gear (5), and a clutch (4) is interposed between the output shaft of the reduction gear (5) and the elevating mechanism (3). The blind (1) is provided with a control circuit (15) which rotates the drive motor (6) when the operating cord (8) is pulled.
