PRETREATMENT METHOD FOR COAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coal pretreatment method which can reduce equipment cost, energy consumption and energy cost by comprehensively combining a method for a coal blend charged into a coke oven with a method for fine coal blown into a blast furnace. SOLUTION: In this coal pretreatment method, crushed noncaking coal is dried with a fluidized-bed dryer 5 and simultaneously classified into pulverized coal and coarse-particle coal. Thus obtained noncaking pulverized coal is used as raw material coal to be blown into a blast furnace 12 through its tuyere 11. The noncaking coarse-particle coal is mixed with crushed heavy caking coal to give a mixture which is used as raw material to be charged into a coke oven 17.
