PURPOSE: To prevent deterioration of durability of a lock-up clutch even when an accelerator pedal is deeply depressed during slip lock-up. CONSTITUTION: When an accelerator pedal is depressed to let a throttle opening TVO exceeding TVO1 during slip lock-up control, counting passing timeΔT is started. For sharp depression to let the throttle opening exceeding TVO2 before pass of determination time Th, a transmission controller releases the slip lock-up control at a timing t1. Slip quantity is quickly increased as indicated in (c)-a, but as the slip lock-up control is released, slip quantity is reduced from the timing t1. Rise of temperature of facing is stopped at timing t1 as indicated by a solid line, and durability of the facing is improved. When the TVO is reduced to a specified value, the slip lock-up control is restored, thereby fuel consumption performance can be kept high. |
