PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer medium, capable of being suitably used as a proof sheet for an application of external proof reading similar in a texture of an image part/non-image part on the medium to be recorded to the medium after transferring with good transferability to a wide printing sheet without problem such as color bleeding, cockling or the like with a high resolution and to provide a method for ink jet recording, capable of good ink jet recording by using the transfer medium. SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer medium for ink jet recording comprises a second ink absorption layer and a first ink absorption layer provided in this order on a support. When an image is transferred onto the intermediate transfer medium after the ink jet recording, the first ink absorption layer is formed releasably from the medium. |
