POSITIVE ELECTRIFICATION TWO-COMPONENT DEVELOPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrification two-component developer having excellent electrification characteristics of rising property, electrification stability or the like so that excellent images can be continuously obtained without causing contamination of a photoreceptor or deterioration in the picture quality even when the developer is used for a high-speed machine. SOLUTION: The two-component developer consists of a ferrite carrier and a positive electrification toner containing a binder resin having <=10 mgKOH/ g acid value, a coloring agent and a nigrosine dye. The difference in the absorbance [logI0 /I (wherein I0 is the quantity of the incident light and I is the quantity of the transmitted light)] between at 570 nm and at 600 nm of the electrification toner ranges from 0.08 to 0.20 and the saturation magnetization of the ferrite carrier ranges from 40 to 80 emu/g.
