PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for automatically receiving an order and manufacturing a gravure printing roll by which a printing company and a printing plate making company can use a total time device capable of performing a full automatic plate making process through six or four different kinds of processing steps with regard to different and various kinds of recycled rolls in such a way that the device is used as if it were a mill belonging to the described companies. SOLUTION: An information terminal computer sends roll specifications and a final design file to a main computer which controls a printing plate making plant through a communications circuit and takes ordering procedures and further, makes a printing plate out of the gravure printing roll without passing through any intermediary. When an order is received, the main computer correlates a customer identification number, a roll identification number, a processing course identification number, roll specifications, an order receiving date and a final design file with each other and stores this correlationship. In addition, the main computer makes an IC tag attached to the roll store the roll identification number and grasps the roll manufacturing process and further, controls each of the devices at the printing plate making plant as required. |
