PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a heatable throttle device for an internal combustion engine of a type where a fluid flow passes through a flow cross section 1 of a bore 8 and the fluid flow can be controlled by a throttle element revolvable and operable in receiving holes 4 in a casing 2. SOLUTION: Between a wall 9 of the bore 8 and an outer circumference of the casing 2, a plurality of hollow chambers 11 for a heating or cooling medium are formed inside the casing 2.
