PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a method for preventing the occurrence of precipitation during the preservation of a liquid product comprising a water-containing alcohol solution of a yellow pigment of a gardenia, purified by removing geniposides. SOLUTION: A yellow pigment of a gardenia, purified by removing geniposides, is treated with a resin having a cation-exchange function.
