PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new phthalocyanine compound having such properties suitable for a coloring matter for a CD-R as high solubility in an organic solvent, recording characteristics permitting a high-speed recording with high sensitivity, and high stability. SOLUTION: The phthalocyanine compound is represented by general formula (1) (wherein R is an optionally substituted alkyl group, or an aryl group optionally having a 1-4C substituent; M is Cu, Ni, Co, Zn, Pd, Cd, VO or TiO; the numbers 1 to 16 around the phthalocyanine skeleton each stands for the position number of a carbon atom; and the oxygen atoms of the substituents R(O=)2 SO- are respectively bonded to four carbon atoms selected from any one of 1 to 4, any one of 5 to 8, any one of 9 to 12, and any one of 13 to 16). |
