PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystalline composition which allows omitting of an oriented film at the one side in the manufacture of a color filter by con trolling the orientation of liquid crystalline molecules and giving a uniform thick film with no coating imperfection by controlling the inclusion of foreign matters, to provide a color filter having a uniform selective reflection wave length and a sufficiently high reflectance made by using the above liquid crystal line composition, and a liquid crystal display device using the above color filter. SOLUTION: The liquid crystalline composition is characterized by containing at least a liquid crystalline compound having at least one polymerizable group, a chirality-generating agent, a polymerization initiator, an air-interfacial orientating agent and a solvent, and by having a viscosity of 1-100 cP. |
