PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device wherein the reduction of contrast can be prevented by suppressing a white floating phenomenon due to a light diffusion layer. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device provided with a first substrate 1 and a second substrate 2 disposed opposite to each other, a liquid crystal layer 3 which is provided between the substrates 1 and 2 and in which a liquid crystal is encapsulated and a reflection electrode 7 provided facing the second substrate 2 and constituted so that the light made incident on the first substrate 1 is reflected on the reflection electrode 7 and then outgoing from the first substrate 1, the light diffusion layer 5 for diffusing the light made incident from the first substrate 1 is provided, the light diffusing layer 5 includes a transparent resin 16 and fine particles 15 dispersed in the transparent resin 16 and the refractive index of the fine particles 15 is higher than that of the transparent resin 16. |
