PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of performing appropriate direction guidance at any given point. SOLUTION: A processing control unit displays a cross cursor C in a navigation image as shown in (a) and acquires any given point specified by a user through an operating part. When a road link is specified at a point of intersection P1 shown in (b), the processing control unit specifies a destination point to be an object of direction guidance, obtains the direction and the distance from the specified point to the destination point, creates a direction guidance image G1 indicating the direction, the distance, etc., to the destination point, and composes it in a navigation image. In addition, when a road node is specified at a point of intersection P2 shown in (c), the processing control unit specifies a destination point for every branch road, obtains the direction and the distance, etc., from the specified point to each destination point, creates direction guidance images G1-G5, and composes them in the navigation image. |
