PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly reactive styrene/hydrogenated diene block copolymer by introducing a sufficient amount of a boron-containing group. SOLUTION: The styrene/hydrogenated diene block copolymer bears in its side chain at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of boronic acid group and a boron-containing group convertible into boronic acid group in the presence of water, contains 100-2,000μeq/g of the functional group and has a weight ratio of styrene units to hydrogenated conjugated diene units of 5/95 to 70/30.
