PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for managing the route of each rolling stock in which the demerits inherent in the conventional technique are relieved. SOLUTION: The management system for the route of each rolling stock to run on a rail network 10 from a deperture point (12 and 14) to a arriving point (20 and 22) has a means (36 and 38) to change the route of the rolling stocks with respect to the convergence node where a route changing node and the route after changing converge again to the initial route. The route changing means is furnished with a means to decide one set of routes consisting of all possible routes between the route changing node and the convergence node and a means 38 to compare the mentioned set of routes with the initial route so that the route change takes place along the route nearest the initially planned route.
