PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive metal thin plate peeling apparatus capable of simply fractionating a waste metal building material into a metal thin plate, a heat insulating material and a gypsum board and to also reduce operation cost. SOLUTION: A work stand 19 on which the metal building material is placed is provided on a base, and a work pressing part 18 and a take-up shaft 11, which is connected to a rotary drive source 15 in a rotational transmission state and supported by a drive bearing 13 and a follower bearing 14 and having a cotter part 12 formed thereto over a range from the inner surface of the drive bearing 13 to the inner surface of the follower bearing 14, are provided slightly above the work stand 19. One end edge of the metal thin plate of the metal building material is inserted in the cotter part 12 and the take-up shaft 11 is rotated to peel and fractionate the metal thin plate.
