PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orifice type steam trap which can discharge condensate without stay thereof even when the differential pressure before and behind an orifice or the inflow of the condensate is fluctuated, and prevent any leakage of a large volume of steam. SOLUTION: A throttle part 7 is provided on a lower part of a valve chest 4. The throttle part 7 is formed of a clearance 12 between a female screw 8 and male screws 10 and 11. Mixed fluid of the condensate and the steam flowing in from an inlet 3 is discharged outside the system from an outlet 5 through the clearance 12. The orifice type steam trap which can prevent any stay of the condensate and leakage of the steam can be obtained by adjusting the passage length of the clearance 12 according to the quantity and pressure of the condensate flowing therein.
