PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet head and a method for manufacturing the same wherein variation in printing is reduced even when an ink groove has a processing error in the ink jet head having the plurality of ink grooves arranged in parallel. SOLUTION: The ink grooves 21e are formed every other one of the ink grooves 21e on a substrate 10 and a substrate 40 by means of a diamond blade 51. After that, the diamond blade 51 is shifted with respect to the substrate 10 and the substrate 40 and each of the ink grooves 21f is formed between ink grooves 21e. The substrate 40 is right-to-left reversed shown by a broken line with an arrow and is laminated on the substrate 10 with a cover plate therebetween. That is, the two rows of ink grooves are alternately arranged and the arrangement directions of the ink grooves corresponding to each of blade sections 51a of the diamond blade 51 are opposite with each other between the substrate 10 and the substrate 40. As a result, even when one of the blade sections 51a has a processing error, the ink groove formed by means of the other blade corresponds to a portion between the ink grooves 21e, 21f formed by means of the blade section 51a so that dots ejected adjacently become alternately large and small, thereby reducing the variation in printing.
