REPLACEMENT METHOD FOR GAS METER AND MEASURING DEVICE FOR PRESSURE IN PIPE AND GAS CONCENTRATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a replacement method for a gas meter that can replace the gas meter by providing safe and easy work outdoors even if people is away from home. SOLUTION: A primary pipe 5 and a secondary pipe 6 are fixed with a two-pipe fixing jig 20 in a condition that an existing gas meter is installed between the primary pipe 5 and the secondary pipe 6. The gas in the existing gas meter is collected by inserting a needle member into rubber packing with a no-blow jig attached to the port of the secondary pipe 6 of the existing gas meter. The existing gas meter 1N is removed and then a new gas meter 1N is installed. At this time, the air in the new gas mater 1N is replaced by attaching a gastight retaining jig 60 to the port 3N of the secondary pipe of the new gas meter 1N. Therewith the replacement degree of the gas in the existing gas meter 1N is measured by connecting a measuring device to the gastight retaining jig 60 through a horse.
