PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trigger of machine gun in which a repeated shooting mechanism in the body of a machine gun can shoot a single bullet by bringing the repeated shooting mechanism into repeated shooting state only for an extremely short time. SOLUTION: When the movable shaft 7a of a solenoid 7 projects, a slide base 12 is slid rearward. Consequently, a switching block 13 being guided to move only in the vertical direction with respect to the slide base 12 and urged in the projecting direction interferes with the cam face 18d of a shooting mode switching button 18, and retracts into the slit 12a of the slide base 12. Since a slide plate 17 urged to slide forward and linked with a lever 20 engages with the base 13a of the switching block 13, the slide plate 17 moves rearward integrally with the slide base 12 until the slide plate 17 disengages through retraction. Immediately after the lever 20 switches the actuating rod 6 in the body of a machine gun from stopping state to repeated shooting state, the base 13a and the slide plate 17 disengage and the slide plate 17 moves forward thus turning the lever reversely.
